2e POLDERDAG in England a success

Good weather, an excellent venue and an impressive display of Conver boats and Herder flail systems, ensured success for Mastenbroek Environmental's 2009 Polder Day. Mastenbroek's Chris Pett reports a turnout of over 200 visitors to the July event held at the North Level IDB's Cross Guns Pumping Station near Thorney, Cambs.
During this bi-annual event the Conver Silt Pusher was introduced to the English IDB’s and private contractors for the first time. A completely new concept for the Englisg dredging and watercourse maintenance scene. Furthermore, two new Conver C485 mowing boats were demonstrated.
Polder Day has become the drainage industry’s major working event of the year focusing on environmental management systems for waterways and dikes. This was Mastenbroek’s biggest live demonstration to date with 4 Conver machines, 7 Herder machines and a wide range of attachments on static display. And then of course there was the ever popular hog roast!
